Age Limit: Candidates maximum age should be 25 years for Sl No 1 and between 18 years to 25 years for Sl No 2 and 20 years to 25 years for Sl No 3 and not exceeding 30 years for Sl No 4 to 7 as on 21-04-2014. Age Relaxation is applicable for UR/ OBC/ Government employee candidates as per rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have Matric/ Higher Secondary or equivalent examination for Sl No 1 and B.Sc. with Botany or Zoology or B.Sc. in Agriculture from a recognized University for Sl No 2 and M.Sc Chemistry or Physics for Sl No 3 and Degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering for Sl No 4 & 5 and Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University for Sl No 6 and Bachelor of Science with Zoology or Microbiology for Sl No 7.
Selection Procedure: Candidates are selected based on Interview/ skill test/ Proficiency Test.
Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs.50/- in the form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps which are available in all Post Offices and no fee for female, SC/ ST/ PH/ EXS candidates. Fee should be paid separately for each category for which applications are submitted separately.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates can apply in prescribed format along with Recruitment Fee Stamps, One recent passport size photograph, duly signed and pasted in the space provided in Application Form, Two copies of the same photo should be retained by the candidate for pasting on the Attendance Sheet/ Bio-data form, Attested copies of certificates and Mark Sheets pertaining to all the years showing age, educational and technical qualifications, caste certificate and send to The Regional Director (SR), Staff Selection Commission, 2nd Floor, EVK Sampath Building, College Road, Chennai – 600006 on or before 21-04-2014 by 5:00 PM and 28-04-2014 for candidates in remote areas.
