Applications in the prescribed proforma are invited from young and talented Sports persons who are Indian Citizens for filling up of 06 posts of Upper Division Clerk and 01 post of Multi Tasking Staff by Direct Recruitment on Regular Basis in ESI Corporation, Gujarat Region in the pay band with allowances as admissible to Central Government employees in similar pay band as mentioned below;

Essential Qualifications :
1. Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
2. Working knowledge of Computer including use of office suites and databases.

Sports qualification : The candidate should have represented the country in an International competition / State in a National competition / University in an inter-University competition with distinction/State schools in the National Sports / games of Schools. The prescribed certificate for participating in the sports event(s) is provided separately. The candidate should submit the participation certificate only in the prescribed format.
Selection Procedure:
a) All eligible candidates should apply in the application as per format prescribed and send it to Regional Office, E.S.I. Corporation, Panchdeep Bhavan,Ashram Road, Ahmedabad – 380014 through SpeedPost/Regd. Post only. Applications received after the last date wil not be considered.
b) Selection will be made on the basis of the guidelines/instructions issued by Department of Personnel & Training, Govt. of India.
Mode of payment : A Demand Draft of Rs.225/- or Rs.125/- (as applicable) in favour of “ESI Fund, Account No.1 ” drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Ahmedabad has to be submitted along with the application
The name and address of the candidate should be on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.

General Instructions:
I. The crucial date for determining the age limit and other eligibility criteria shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates i.e. 15-03- 2013 and not the closing date prescribed for those in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State,
II. Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate for being called for field trial.
III. A candidate should submit one application for one post.
IV. Application should be submitted in the prescribed form only. It should be filled up in block/capital letters in the candidates own handwriting.

About the organization:
The Employees’ State Insurance Scheme was introduced in on 4.10.1964. The Scheme was made applicable to Ahmedabad City and its Supurbs in first phase and was later on extended to most of the industrialized centers, such as Vadodara , Surat , Rajkot , Jamnagar and Ankleshwar. As on date, the Scheme stands implemented at 35 centers. The total number of Insured Persons covered at Present are 2,69,745 (as on 31.3.2006). The State with its rapid industrial growth offers scope for further implementation of the scheme to many other largely industrialized centers which were developed in the recent past. Around 1.5 lakhs industrial workers can be brought under the protective umbrella of ESI Scheme. The scheme has been implemented at Gandhinagar w.e.f. 1.3.2001 and at Bajwa, Chhani, Sihor and Vartej w.e.f. 1/6/2006. Centers like Koyali, Atul, Changodhar etc. are under active consideration of the State Government for implementation of the scheme. Two sub Regional Offices i.e.S.R.O and Sutra have been started in this region Implementation of Scheme to the extended city limits of Ahmedabad is under active consideration of the Government of Gujarat.
