Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 23 years to 35 years as on 01-03-2014 i.e born not earlier than 02-03-1979 and not later than 01-03-1991. Age relaxation is applicable for BC/ PWD candidates.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess degree in Law from any University or Institution affiliated to any University recognized by the State Government or the Central Government and have Enrollment as an advocate in the roll of Bar Council of any State or Union Territory in India on the date of advertisement for the examination.

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs.210/- in the form of Indian Postal Order be purchased on a date after publication of this advertisement and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal or in the form of a receipted Challan from a Government Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head “0051-00-105-State PSC-Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16-other fees” and no fee for SC/ ST candidates.

Selection Procedure: Candidates are selected based on Preliminary Examination, Final Examination & Personality Test.

How to Apply: Candidates can apply in prescribed format along with IPO/ Treasury Challan, in original, One copy of recent passport size photograph signed and pasted on the application, attested photocopies of certificates of age and prescribed educational qualification, Self-attested photocopies of certificate obtained from the Bar Council in support of enrollment, Self-attested photocopies of documents issued by competent authority in favour of SC/ ST/ BC/ PH candidates), Two unstamped self-addressed envelopes and by superscribing the envelope with the advertisement no. and name of the examination and submit personally in open condition at the enquiry counter of the Commission’s office at 161-A, S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700026 between 11:00 AM and 3:30 PM on all working days or sent by registered or speed post to the Deputy Secretary (Examination), Public Service Commission, West Bengal, 161-A, S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700026 on or before 31-03-2014.
